First successful post-COVID fundraising activity

On September 23, 2021, the Foundation held its first fundraising dinner for Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) since the pandemic. Some 70 guests gathered, in compliance with public health measures, at the Hoogan et Beaufort restaurant for the Tasting Dinner. 

It was an opportunity to close the Prestige Wine Auction. In total, the two activities raised nearly $65,000 net for the Together for the HMR Fund.

$50,000 for the Prestige Wine Auction

The Prestige Wine Auction alone raised $50,000! A result that exceeded all expectations thanks to the astonishing generosity of participants. Thank you to everyone who bid unstintingly and congratulations to all the buyers. You are a source of healing for Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont patients!  

Enthusiasts were well served by the hundreds of exceptional bottles for sale. There were wines from great houses such as Champagne Krug, Petrus, Château Latour and many others.

Gastronomy, Exceptional Wines and… Health Measures

Happiness, gastronomy and masked smiles were invited to the terrace of the Hoogan et Beaufort, on September 23. Chef Marc-André Jetté welcomed guests with a five-course meal paired with six wines. 

The evening was humbly directed by master of ceremonies and friend of the HMR Foundation Sébastien Benoît. 

Guests presented their vaccination passports upon entry. Then, in compliance with public health regulations, they wore masks and maintained physical distancing. Thank you to our partners, Oxygène and Solotech, for their outstanding contribution to the evening’s success.

The proceeds generated by the Tasting Dinner and the online auction will contribute to the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Together for the HMR Fund. The fund’s objective is to provide the resources needed to maintain the hospital’s level of excellence in patient care, research and teaching, which are at the heart of its ability to face future challenges.
