Lulu Hughes

Diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2016 and treated at the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR), singer Lulu Hughes quickly offered her support to Dominique Michel, the volunteer spokesperson for the Integrated Cancer Centre fund development campaign, to help Dodo with her fundraising efforts.

“It was important to me. Although I received extraordinary care at the HMR, I was also aware that the hospital has urgent needs. I am supporting Dodo and the HMR Foundation as a patron because the Integrated Cancer Centre will make an enormous difference in the life of patients and their families, while contributing to the advancement of medical breakthroughs to treat cancer.”

Last fall, Lulu Hughes joined forces with an east end Montréal company specialized in natural beauty products: Corpa Flora. The company has developed a product in Lulu’s image and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the HMR Foundation.

Through this campaign, the singer hopes to improve the life of HMR cancer patients.

“This association with Corpa Flora enables me to combine a guilty pleasure and a responsible pleasure. Taking care of oneself and contributing to the quality of HMR patient care, what a unique opportunity to be a source of healing for people suffering from cancer,” said Lulu Hughes.
